This ongoing project includes the development of basic and detailed engineering, the replacement of protection panels, the supply of single-mode interface module cards for 24- and 60-km links, and the repair and restoration of dedicated fiber-optic communication links for line differential protection.
This initiative aims to standardize protection schemes for 230/138 kV urban ring transmission lines in Latin America, improving the reliability and efficiency of the power grid.
The scope of this project includes:
Perimeter protection and analytics applied to strategic assets
Standardization of protection schemes for high-voltage urban rings.
Implementation and configuration of communication channels for remote tripping and signal transfer.
Adjustment of logic to ensure selectivity and speed in response to faults in 230 kV and 138 kV networks.
Compatibility between existing protection schemes and new communication technologies.
Mitigation of cascading blackout risks through efficient fault segregation.
