- STATUS: Project in execution - Awarded 2017
The scope of this Project encompasses the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply, Assembly, Testing, and Commissioning of a 400kV submarine and subterranean cable system designed to cross underneath Lake Maracaibo and connect to landline sections on both the eastern and western coasts.
This comprehensive project includes the supply and installation of power cable systems, communication infrastructure, transfer substations encapsulated in SF6, and related equipment.
The successful completion of this initiative is poised to significantly enhance the quality of electric service in the northwestern region of Lake Maracaibo, benefiting a population of over 2,000,000 people.
EPC Contract for Two 400 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear Transmission Substations
- STATUS: Project in execution - Awarded 2017
The project involves the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply, Assembly, Testing, and Commissioning of two substations (S/E Punta de Palmas and S/E Peonías) located on the eastern and western coasts.
These substations are strategically positioned to facilitate the transition of power cables from overhead to submarine and underground lines, contributing to the improvement of the electric service in the northwestern region of Lake Maracaibo, benefiting a population of more than 2,000,000 people. The initiative also includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of two 400kV lines in both eastern and western sections, connecting the substations with the existing line and dismantling towers along the land section.
Mobilization of a 300 MVA Siemens Three-Phase Auto Transformer in a Major Metropolitan City
- STATUS: Completed in 2021
This project entailed the loading, land transfer, and unloading of a Siemens 333 MVA three-phase autotransformer at 230/138/24 kV, with the heaviest piece (the tank) transported from one substation to another. Completed in 2021, this initiative contributed to enhancing the electrical infrastructure in a major metropolitan city in Latin America.
